A WOMAN'S WORK IS NEVER DONE - THE PROBLEM ACCORDING TO ME (INTRODUCTION – PART 2)
We had just moved to California, and he was loath to step into the apartment complex hot tub with his love handles hanging out. He went to a doctor, and carefully and steadily lost some thirty pounds. He drank only a white drink that looked something like a milk shake, ate steamed broccoli, and soon wore a size 36 trouser. I took a picture of him—fortunately with an instant camera, so I could get the image before he gained the weight back.
From our years together, and his forays into either diet or exercise, I knew he would never again be Army Thin. In fact, I finally realized he would never lose a pound unless I did something about it. Maybe it's the fact that I am an Aries, maybe it's because I'm just a pushy, aggressive, opinionated broad—but one day I merely decided that if he wasn't going to do something about his weight, by God, I would do something for him.
Men seem to put their energy into their careers first, and give whatever is left over to their families.
